A GE Hotpoint Electric Range - You Can't Go Astray Buying One Of These

The Hotpoint electric range is a classic kitchen appliance. Why, my grandmother still has her 1960's stove in her small lakeside cabin and it still works perfectly. But then, General Electric is known for producing some of the most dependable kitchen appliances on the market, and their Hot Point series is no exception.

I've come across quite a few bad brands in my days employed as a salesperson at a local appliance retailer, and I could always attest to the quality of GE merchandise. There are some other good brands out there, but GE just produces some classic workhorses. We also had a lot of those fancy European (and especially Italian) models in our store, and they certainly had definite aesthetic advantages - they're beautiful little things, really - but they would be returned time and time again with a host of problems.

This was especially a pain because the parts were so much more costly. Although the initial commissions on products like that were higher, and they were good looking appliances at first sight, I soon figured out that it wasn't worthwhile selling them. It not only cost the store money (which I became a partial investor in after a few years) caused by the greater number of repairs we had to do on the machines, but it also adversely affected my sales in the end.

People get angry when you sell them stuff that breaks. Even if you were unaware of the quality problems, and ready to fix the problem ASAP, it still was quite a bit of time wasted in someone's day. From all of my experience, I can tell you that GE creates some great appliances, and their electric ranges especially stand out. Not only to do they keep abreast of all of the new (and now apparently necessary features), but they are a lot less likely to break.

Fewer and fewer companies produce quality goods, and the Hotpoint electric ranges are still the workhorses that they always were. Honestly, if you're really using your appliances, there is no reason to just go for something that looks good. Opt for something that incorporates both style and function. And make sure it is a good model. From my experience, you can't go astray with a GE Hotpoint range.
